DIY Installation Guide
Install It Yourself
No more difficult than a standard battery swap. Follow our step-by-step guide or hire a local hybrid technician.
01Access the Battery
45–60 minRemove false floor, interior panels, and disconnect rear seats.
Watch YouTube tutorials for your specific year
02Remove Old Battery
15 minDisconnect cables and lift the battery pack out. It's heavy (~120 lbs) — get a helper.
Mark connector positions for reassembly
03Disassemble Pack
30 minOpen the case, remove old modules, bus-bars, and wiring.
Keep old modules to sell or for core exchange
04Install Hybrid Modules
60 minPlace all 14 modules in serial order (#1–#14). Connect hybrid bus-bars and harness.
Double-check module orientation before torquing
05Reinstall Battery
15 minLower pack back into vehicle. Reconnect all cables and temperature sensors.
Verify the orange safety plug is secure
06Test & Clear Codes
10 minPower up, clear any DTCs, and verify Ready mode.
